Fine art rotation explores the field of Contemporary Art. The structure of the pathway provides means by which students can create their work, whilst forming a knowledge and understanding of the current debates which underpin fine art practice. This structure is based around an intensive series workshops and crits, tutorials and reviews. Students are exposed to a number of processes and ways of working including drawing, painting, sculpture, video, photography and performance.
Throughout projects and workshops students were introduced to several photographic processes in the dark room such as photograms (making an image in the darkroom without using a camera), analogue photography (taking pictures with a film camera), developing the film and hand printing their pictures in the darkroom, and pinhole photography (making a camera from a cardboard box, photographing with it and printing the pictures immediately). During this learning process short projects were undertaken to enhance the students experience and contextualize these methods in their creative work. Also students realized some projects in video format and photo image manipulation process.
